Pencil-like soldering iron

A soldering iron in the shape of a pencil has a tip through which the wire is feed, a front section in which a feed mechanism is located and a rear section housing the wire coil. The device also has a clip which enables it to be carried in a top pocket. The wire feeding mechanism is a button (6) which is pressed and moved forward against the action of springs (21, 9) or alternatively a rotating wheel (10) which acts with a plate spring (11). The wire is drawn off from a coil at the back of the device. The coil may be inserted with it's longitudinal axis either parallel or perpendicular to the axis of the pencil-like device.
