The present invention discloses a human DNase polypeptide and DNA (RNA) encoding such polypeptide. The human DNase polypeptide may be produced by recombinant DNA techniques and is useful against the treatment of various diseases. In such treatment, the human DNase polypeptide is administered with a suitable pharmaceutical carier or diluent to provide therapeutic effects against such diseases.
