Collecting and freezing of samples from gas or aerosol

A process to collect samples of microorganisms, their constituents, break-down products or fermentation products from a gas or aerosol is claimed. The gas or aerosol is obtained from a bio-technical process. It flows through a sample tube (2) where it is cooled to <0 deg C to condense and freeze the sample, and freeze it on the inner wall (3) of the tube (2) which is maintained at a temperature below that of the condensate (16).An appts. for the process is also claimed.
