Method of annealing book cover folds

The method involves cooling the book cover folds directly after annealing. Cold air is applied to the book cover folds in their compressed condition. The cover folds ar exposed to folding moulding rails (3) by cold air or other gaseous or liquid media, or the books are cooled in the transporter holding the fold. The cooling temperature is below freezing point, of as far as -40 degrees Celsius.Transfer elements are in the form of rails, rollers, belts etc.. The fold-forming rails or transfer elements are connected by ducts (4) with cooling jets (6).
