<p>A method of dye diffusion thermal transfer printing in which the pixels forming the image are arranged in rows such that if the distance between the centres of adjacent pixels in a row is 'x' and the distance between rows is 'y', then the centres of a pixel in one row and the centres of the two nearest pixels in an adjacent row form an isosceles triangle having a base 'x' and a height 'y'. In one embodiment for colour printing the centre of each pixel of one colour lies at the centre of a hexagon formed by the centres of pixels of the other two colours.</p> |
