The folding hood comprises a frame and a cover (10), which are held in position in lateral frame parts (11) together with sealing strips (13). Connecting areas (14,15) for the cover and the sealing strips are provided separated from one another on the lateral frame parts.Between the spaced connecting areas and not covered by the hood cover extend sectionally frame wall sections (16) forming the vehicle bodywork outer skin. The nose-shaped part area (18) of the wall section facing the hood cover is so formed that together with the abutting inner located hood cover it forms a rain channel (19).
