The proposed single-track roller skate is provided with a frame (3) attached to the shoe (2), or with several frame sections which can be attached to the shoe (2). At least three wheels (4, 5, 6, 7) are mounted one behind the other along the line of movement in the frame (3) or frame sections. Each wheel has a rolling surface (18, 19) around its circumference, this rolling surface being substantially symmetrical about the longitudinal mid-plane of the wheels (4, 5, 6, 7) and curved in axial section; the rolling surfaces (18) of at least one front wheel (4) and of at least one rear wheel (7) at a distance from the longitudinal mid-plane (.epsilon.) are at a relatively greater normal distance from a plane () parallel to the axis and tangential to the rolling surface (18) than the rolling surface (19) of at least one middle wheel (5, 6): the arrangement ensures that, when the roller skate (1) tips in relation to the tangential plane (), the front and/or rear wheel (4, 7) are lifted or the contact pressure exerted by these wheels (4, 7) is reduced.
