<p>There is provided an electronic appliance such as a gam machine which takes less time to read visually recognizable information from a CD-ROM and improves the level of security to eliminate further effectively imitation. The apparatus includes a CD-ROM drive for a CD-ROM (12) having visually recognizable display information, an information detection portion (18) for detecting specific information selected from unit information constituting compared data (A), and a comparator portion (19) having original check data (D) corresponding to the compared data (A), for comparing the specific information with reference information corresponding to the specific information of the original check data (D) and outputting the result of comparison. <IMAGE></p> |
