In a household appliance, especially in a dishwasher (1) or an oven, with a washing or baking chamber (3) which is closable by a door (2) and has at least one crockery basket (4, 5, 6) or baking tray, said door (2) being pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis (7), an electric-motor drive (10) is provided in the appliance housing (9), said drive having an assigned control device (11) and a downstream adjusting mechanism (12) serving for the complete or partial closing and/or opening of the door (2). By means of this measure, motor-controlled door-closing and door-opening can take place, as a result of which, on the one hand, the operating convenience of the household appliance is increased considerably and, on the other hand, the operation of the appliance is facilitated, in particular for older people. <IMAGE> |
