The device includes a zoom lens (6) which is actuated by a motor (5) which is controlled by a zoom button. A memory (8) stores the zoom lens position and a control part (1) is manually actuated by the operator and coupled to control logic (2). The initial position of the zoom lens is memorised and simultaneously a speed set-point (3) is applied to a servomechanism (4). The motor is actuated and drives the zoom lens to the position of maximum magnification. The lens is maintained at this position while the button is held down and the focus adjusted. The operator then presses the button again to restore the zoom lens to the memorised initial position. <IMAGE> |
