PURPOSE:To manufacture a high Mn non-magnetic steel low in stress corrosion cracking sensitivity by incorporating specified ratios of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Mo, Cu and N into Fe. CONSTITUTION:A high Mn non-magnetic steel contg., by weight, 0.30 to 0.75% C, 0.05 to 2.0% Si, 14.0 to 20.0% Mn, <=3.0% Ni, <=2.0% Mo, 0.1 to 3.0% Cu and 0.01 to 0.20% N, if required, furthermore contg. one or >= two kinds among 0.01 to 0.20% Nb, 0.01 to 2.O% V and 0.01 to 0.20% Ti and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is prepd. In this way, the high Mn non magnetic steel having good strength, ductility and workability as well as excellent stress corrosion cracking sensitivity can be obtd. |
