The insulation, for surface cladding of buildings, is an insulating plate with a netting reinforcement (3) with recesses (4), fitted to a surface of the insulating plate (2). The recessed (4) structure holds the reinforcement (3) at a gap from the plate (2). The reinforcement (3) is bonded to the plate (2) at the recessed zones (4) by an adhesive mass (5) of polyurethane foam or an acrylic adhesive. The insulation is secured to the wall by dowels through the recessed (4) zones, and the reinforcement (3) is covered by a plaster.
