PURPOSE:To make video display without impairing the original resolution as far as possible by controlling divided images in such a manner that these images are displayed side by side by partly overlapping on each other in a horizontal direction and adjusting the display light quantity of the overlapping part. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal panel to be used has an aspect ratio of 6:3 which is a transversely long size. The display regions of liquid crystal displays 103, 105 are movable on these liquid crystal displays 103, 105. The positions of ND filters 109, 110 relative to the display regions are, therefore, relatively changeable. The distance L from the centers of both eyes of the liquid crystal displays 103, 105 paired on the right and the left and magnifying lenses 104, 106 is adjusted and in addition, the overlapping degree of virtual images 107, 108 is arbitrarily adjusted while the state of not creating a brightness difference between the overlapping part and non-overlapping part of these virtual images is maintained by the ND filters 109, 110, by which the virtual images 107, 108 are connected and the screen of the arbitrary aspect ratio having no luminance differences is obtd. |
