CONTROLLING METHOD FOR VIDEO APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To facilitate editing operations without using any editing machine by using two VTRs of which one controls the operation of the other. CONSTITUTION:The output signals of the reproducing-side VTR 1 inputted from an input terminal 10 is led to the picture recording circuit 12 of the recording-side VTR 2 to be inputted into a decoder 11. The decoder 11 extracts the information code superposed on the output signals of the reproducing-side VTR 1 to output it to a control circuit 13 and outputs the video signals from which the information code is extracted to an encoder 14. The control circuit 13 controls the recording-side VTR 2 itself based on the extracted information code 14 and outputs the information code to be transmitted to the reproducing- side VTR 1 to the encoder 14. The encoder 14 superposes the information code outputted from the control circuit 13 on the video signals outputted from the decoder 11 to output them to the reproducing-side VTR 1 via an output terminal 15. Then it becomes possible to cause one video apparatus to control the other video apparatus and editing work is made easy.
