<p>PURPOSE:To attain correct data transmission by allowing a receiver side to eliminate phase uncertainty caused by a difference from a phase reference of a sender side when three coded bits resulting from two information bits one of which is convolution-coded at a coding rate of 1/2 with a binding length of 7 and from the remaining non-coded bit are sent by the octal PSK coding modulation system. CONSTITUTION:A sender side is provided with a differential coder 13 applying differential conversion to two bits obtained from a serial parallel converter 12 according to a predetermined rule. In a receiver side, a bit subject to convolution coding is decoded by a viterbi decoder 41, and four condidate bits are selected for the other non-coded bit and one of them is decided based on the bit obtained by applying 2nd-coding to the bit subject to viterbi decoding. A differential decoder 42 applying differential conversion to the estimated two bits according to a decided rule eliminates phase uncertainty to obtain correct data.</p> |
