PURPOSE: To offer a joint assembly easily and certainly connecting removably a guide wire and extension wire without using any tool. CONSTITUTION: The joint assembly has a plug 1 formed at the base end 2 of a guide wire 3 and the socket constituting a tube 4. The tube 4 is bent permanently and has a V-shaped part 5 between two linear parts 6 and 7. The terminal of the linear part 7 is fitted on the point of an extension wire 9. A sleeve 10 makes a sliding fit around the tube 4 and substantially linearizes the tube 4 to facilitate the insertion of the plug 1 into the tube 4. When the sleeve 10 is removed, the tube 4 returns to the premodelled deformed shape, and accordingly the plug 1 is certainly fixed in the tube 4. For separating the joint assembly, it is only necessary to pull the guide wire 3 and extension wire 9 in an opposite direction with each other and pull out the plug 1 from the tube 4. |
