PURPOSE: To improve the quality of a printed image by correcting a difference between image picture elements by using a difference between the light and shade intensity of the corresponding picture elements of a scanned image and a desired image. CONSTITUTION: A sensor 16 scans an image including a picture element whose light and shade intensity is thinner than that of picture element of a desired image on a substrate. A sensor controller 33 or a microprocessor 22 of a system unit 11 receives the image sensed by the sensor 16, and converts it into concentration on the substrate. Next, the microprocessors 22 retrieves the desired image, and calculates the set of correction elements to be printed on the substrate by using the difference of light and shade intensity between the corresponding scanned image picture element and desired image picture element. Then, the correction picture elements are printed on the substrate through by a printer controller 31 by a printing device 15, and a difference between the image picture elements is corrected. Therefore, the image can be printed on the substrate with high quality. |
