<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the loading of a cassette into a cassette housing part from the direction different from the operating direction of a cover locking member of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:A holder 4 for loading the cassette 3 is supported by a tray 2, which is horizontally protruded from an opening 11 on an outer package 1 of the front surface and freely to be housed. A lock release member 8 for operating the cover locking member 34 of the cassette 3 is provided on the holder 4 movably between the release position and unrelease position. In the state when the cassette 3 is loaded into the holder 4, the lock release member 8 is being moved to the unrelease position, and during the moving operation of the holder 4 to the position capable of recording or reproducing, the lock release member 8 is moved to the release position, then the cover locking member 34 is operated by a releasing part 86.</p> |
