PURPOSE:To establish a cutting method with wire saw, which can cut a work with a certain width in the wire running direction and can give products cut from the work equipped with uniform thickness in the wire running direction. CONSTITUTION:The pitch P2 of ring-shaped grooves 1a at the periphery of a roller 1 positioned upstream in the wire 5 running direction is made wider than the pitch P3 of ring-shaped grooves 2a at the periphery of another roller 2 positioned downstream. The wire 5 is wound on the rollers 1, 2 in their grooves one by one, wherein the arrangement should be such that the wires 5 pitch P1 between the two rollers lessens gradually as going downstream in the wire running direction from the upstream. |
