PURPOSE:To enable a guide system to edit and output a guiding sentence in accordance with the running state of its own vehicle and output the edited sentence. CONSTITUTION:The guide system is provided with a guiding data storing means 3 which holds various kinds of guiding data to objects to be guided, present location detecting means 5 which detects or traces the present location of its own vehicle, state detecting means 11-1, 11-2, which detect the state of the surroundings of the vehicle, and searching means 6a, 6b, and 6c which search objects to be guided under a prefixed condition based on the present location of the vehicle detected by the detecting means 5. The system is also provided with a guiding data outputting means 6 which prepares output data by selecting necessary data from the various kinds of guiding data in accordance with the state of the surroundings detected by the detecting means 11-1, 11-2,... and outputs the output data to a guide outputting means 10 which outputs the guiding sentence of an object based on the output data of the outputting means 6. Therefore, such a guiding sentence that is in conformity with the atmosphere of the present location and has no unnaturalness can be provided in accordance with the various conditions of the present location. |
