PURPOSE: To enable a hinge-lid box to be manufactured at a low cost and in material saving state by a method wherein a front wall part of the lid is connected to a front wall of a collar by a thin material web or a residual connecting part which is cut when the lid is opened at first and further to restrict a non-preferable opening of the lid at a stage before it is actually used. CONSTITUTION: A collar 38 is connected to a blank of hinge-lid box through material webs 43, 44, 45 at an area of an inner tab 36 of a lid 13 fixed inside a front wall 20 of the lid 13 in order to save forming material for one blank. The inner tab 36 is formed such that it is preferably fitted under a state in which it is positively filled with either a recessed part or a removal vacant part 48 by the inner tab 36 of the lid 13 having a shape coincided with either this recessed part or the removal vacant part 48 when the blank is not yet folded, but kept flat.
