<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image forming method having an electrostatic charging stage capable of sufficiently maintaining the contact of an electrostatic charging member and a member to be electrostatically charged without generating electrostatic charge defects and unequal electrostatic charge by preventing contamination of the surfaces of the electrostatic charging member and the member to be electrostatically charged, such as adhesion of residual developers thereon, and which finally attains the longer life of the electrostatic charging member and a developer to be used in this method. CONSTITUTION:This developer is used in the image forming method having an electrostatic charging stage of electrostatically charging the member to be electrostatically charged by bringing the electrostatic charging member which is a layer contg. at least a polyester resin having a center line average height (Ra) of 0.3 to 2.5mum into contact with the member to be electrostatically charged and impressing voltage to the electrostatic charging member from outside and a cleaning stage for removing the developer from the member to be electrostatically charged. The developer described above is produced by pulverizing a kneaded mixture composed of at least a binder resin and coloring agents. A pulverizing means pulverizes the kneaded mixture in a spacing between a high-speed rotor and a liner. This image forming method comprises using such developer.</p> |
