PURPOSE: To form a mounting device so that a distorsion caused in a disk device is made minimum if a procedure for mounting a disk device to a computer of a user is variously different. CONSTITUTION: A second housing part 14 is connected to a first housing part 12 to form a case of a disk 34. This case has rails 40, 42 having holes for fitting the disk on a frame of a computer system of a user. A transformable insertion member is disposed in the hole of rails, passes through the hole of the frame of computer system, and a screw is inserted into the insertion member disposed in the hole of rails of the disk device. The insertion member is high in softness and less in a distorsion than in the case of a conventional mounting device. The insertion member electrically insulates the disk device from the frame of computer system of a user.
