<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of a fluctuation in an inflow rate by executing a biological treatment under an aerobic condition in an aeration chamber, executing a sepn. of solid from liquid with a membrane separator which is immersed into an activated sludge mixing liquid and utilizes a natural water head as a driving pressure and automatically changing the filtration rate thereof by the fluctuation in the natural water head meeting the fluctuation in the inflow rate of the water to be treated. CONSTITUTION:The water which is to be treated and is introduced by a supplying pipe 2 for the water to be treated is subjected to removal of extraneous matter by a screen 7 of a filter section 8 and is sent to the aeration chamber 3. This water is mixed with the activated sludge mixing liquid in the aeration chamber 3 and aerating air is supplied to the water by a blower 18. The water is thus subjected to the biological treatment under the aerobic condition. On the other hand, the other end of a filtrate pipe 15 is installed in a position lower than the lower part of membrane cartridges 12 of the membrane separator 10. The activated sludge mixing liquid in the aeration chamber 3 is supplied to the upper part of the membrane cartridges 12 via the filtrate chamber 5, by which the natural water head is generated. The sepn. of the solid from the liquid is executed by the membrane cartridges 12 with this natural water head as the driving pressure.</p> |
