PURPOSE: To make the subject apparatus simple in mechanism, working efficiency good and a production cost low by using an automation system which is equipped with coating heads driven by linear motors and executes coating and spraying of relatively large-sized objects to be coated, such as automotive bodies. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is provided with a mounting member 24 which mounts treating members and link arms 20 and 22 which are a pair of the link arms 20 and 22 and are pivoted at one end to the mounting member 24. The apparatus is provided with a pair of the linear motors 16 and 18 and a common platen 14 which is common to the linear motors and with which the respective linear motors 16 and 18 receive the control signals for driving the forcers of the respective linear motors and the forcers move the linear motors selectively along the platen 14 according to the commands of the signals. The respective other ends of the link arms are pivotally connected and the treating members are perpendicularly moved and horizontally moved in two directions of perpendicular and horizontal directions and are rotationally moved by means of these link arms. |
