PURPOSE:To provide a developer carrying member with which images having a high grade are obtainable without generating deterioration and peel of the film on the surface of the carrying member by repetitive copying, etc., and without generating degradation in densities, etc., over a long period of time and which lessens the nonuniform electrostatic charge on the surface of the developer carrying member and applies an adequate electrostatic charge quantity to toners and a developing device formed by using such carrying member. CONSTITUTION:This developer carrying member is a developer carrying member which is formed of a metallic cylindrical pipe and is used for a developing device for developing the latent image formed on a latent image holding member by a developer deposited and transported by the developer carrying member. A resin coating layer into which pigments treated by a polymer synthesized from at least the monomer expressed by the formula are dispersed and incorporated is formed on the metallic cylindrical pipe described above. This developing device uses such developer carrying member. |
