PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost hot press which can efficiently press a workpiece of a different size by providing a plurality of jet holes for injecting pressurized and heated steam or gas in a spacer opposed to the workpiece of the pressurized state. CONSTITUTION:A hot press 10 has upper and lower heating plates 11, 12 in such a manner that the plate 12 is, for example, fixed and the plate 11 is vertically moved to press a workpiece 13 disposed therebetween. A spacer 14 for deciding the thickness of the workpiece 13 after thermally press molding is mounted at the plate 12 with a screw 15. A plurality of jet holes 14b for injecting pressurized and heated steam or gas are provided in one row on the inner surface 14a of the spacer 14 opposed to the workpiece 13 of the pressurized state. Thus, the steam injected from the holes 14b can be efficiently impregnated into the workpiece 13. The thickness of the spacer 14 is at least 15mm. |
