CONSTITUTION:This electronic still camera 1 is provided with a photographing optical system 2, finder optical system, CCD 8, stroboscopic device 9, control means 11, operation part 12, display part 13, power source circuit 14, zoom driving circuit 18, focus driving circuit 19, diaphragm driving circuit 20, CCD driving circuit 21, synchronizing signal generating circuit 22, address control circuit 23, CCD signal processing circuit 24, A/D converter 25, main memory 26, RGB matrix circuit 27, white balance adjusting circuit 28, memory card control circuit 29, image compressing circuit 30, distance information memory 31 and sensor for white balance 32. At the time of photographing with the strobe light, the area on a photographic image plane is divided into plural and the distance to the subject is detected for each divided image plane and white balance is adjusted in accordance with the distance to the subject. |
