STRONTIUM ION FIXING AGENT AND STRONTIUM ION FIXING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To simply and efficiently fix a strontium ion by using specific hydrous composite oxide obtained by reacting a phosphoric acid soln. with a tetravalent cerium salt soln. CONSTITUTION:Hydrous composite oxide represented by the formula Ce (HPO4)x.yH2O (wherein (x) is 1.8-2.1 and (y) is 1-4) can be produced by adding a tetravalent cerium ion-containing soln. to a phosphoric acid-containing soln. to form a composite precipitate and drying the precipitate. By holding this strontium fixing agent at 100-300 deg.C under a hydrothermal condition to react the same with a strontium ion or bonding a strontium ion to the fixing agent and further heat-treating the fixing agent, the strontium ion can be efficiently fixed.
