PURPOSE:To obtain an N1-(1,2-cis-2-halogenocyclopropyl) substituted pyridonecarboxylic acid derivative useful as a medicine for human bodies, animals and fishes, an agrochemical or a preservative for foods, having strongly antimicrobial action. CONSTITUTION:This antimicrobial agent comprises a compound of the formula [R<1> is H, amino, OH or SH which may contain a substituent group; R<2> is a cyclic amino (may contain further N, O or S in the ring) which may contain a substituent group; A is a C-X<3> (X<3> is a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy, CF3 or H); X<1> and X<2> each is a halogen; Z is H, a 1-alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxyalkyl, a phenyl-1-6C alkyl, phenyl, acetoxymethyl, pivaloyloxymethyl, ethoxycarbonyloxy, choline, diaminomethyl, 5-indanyl, phthalidinyl, etc.] or its salt such as 7-[3-(S)-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl]-6-fluoro-1-(1,2-cis-2- fluorocyclopropyl)-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroxyquinoline-3-carboxylic acid as an active ingredient. |
