PURPOSE:To provide necessary service to a user not provided with the knowledge of functions and performance provided in the respective processors of an information processing system (a client-server system). CONSTITUTION:Respective information processors 101, 104, 111 and 117 mutually connected by a network 110 are provided with QOS tables 102, 105, 112 and 118 for registering the functions and the performance. When an equipment is connected to the network 110, the QOS table is automatically registered to the local directory 108 of the network and agents 103, 106, 113 and 119 convert the contents of the QOS table to service information and provide it through a user interface to the user. Thus, since the information relating to the functions and the performance of the respective information processors mutually connected by the network is converted to the service information to the user and provided to the user, the user can more directly receive the necessary service. |
