A braking device, particularly for skates including a shoe composed of a quarter that is articulated to a shell which is in turn associated with a frame to which two or more wheels are pivoted. The braking device is constituted by a substantially U-shaped elastic support that has Vshaped lateral wings; a brake pad is associated with the ends of the wings. The support also has a base that is pivoted transversely to the quarter.
