PURPOSE:To improve thermal spalling resistance, corrosion resistance and strength by blending an aggregate and a matrix containing a specified hardening agent. CONSTITUTION:A matrix containing a hardening agent composed of alumina cement and 2 to 50 wt.% hydraulic alumina is blended with one or more kinds of aggregates selected from sintered alumina, electrofused alumina, bauxite, mullite, agalmatolite, chamotte, alumina-magnesia spinel, silicon carbide, graphite, amorphous carbon and powdery pitch so that the composition of the coarse particle portion, the moderate particle portion and the fine particle portion may be 2:1:1.5 in terms of ratio by weight. |
