PURPOSE:To provide a wire saw which is used in cutting a stone or concrete structure, whose lifetime as a tool is prolonged, and with which noise generation during works can be lessened, by preventing diamond abrasive grains attached to base metal pieces arranged in the form of beads from slipping off under the processing. CONSTITUTION:Being tapered at an angle of 0-30deg. to the cutting direction, base metal pieces 2 are arranged at a certain spacing in the form of beads in such a way as stretching in the longitudinal direction of an endless soft wire rope 4, and by means of brazing, diamond abrasive grains 3 are attached to the base metal pieces 2 in a single layer or a plurality of layers, and thus a wire saw is accomplished which is fitted with cutting edges. |
