PURPOSE:To provide the cordless telephone system capable of informing a slave set side about an end of speech in a natural form when speech end processing is made by a master station side in the case of talking between the master station and the slave station. CONSTITUTION:A handset 1 is connected to an external line (L1, L2) or a voice compression section 10a and a voice expansion section 10b via a speech processor 2 to attain external line speech or extension speech. Then the master station side is provided with a tone generating section 33 and a one generating section outputs a pseudo busy tone in a prescribed timing based on a control signal from a CPU 6 and it is transmitted from an antenna 13 via a voice compression section, a band limit filter 11 and a transmission section 12 to a corresponding slave station. When extension speech end processing is made such as depression of an extension button at the master station in the case of extension speed in a timing, the tone generating section is operated attended therewith and a tone is kept being outputted till an extension speech end signal comes from the slave station.
