PURPOSE: To provide a simple and effective hydrogen peroxide bleaching agent capable of being stably and commercially applied without forming any vesicle. CONSTITUTION: This hydrogen peroxided bleaching agent composition has pH2-6 and contains at least one kind of compd. shown by [MO2 C-(L<1> )p ]q -R-[(L<2> )n -CO2 M]m . In the formula, R is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbonic group or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic group having at least one oxygen, nitrogen or sulfur atom, L<1> and L<2> are independently a substituted or unsubstituted linking group with the linking group linked to a carbonyl group through carbon, (n) and (p) are independently 1 or 0, (m) and (q) are independently 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 or 6, m+q>=1, and M is hydrogen atom, etc. The composition is used to process an image-wise exposed and developed silver halide photographic element.
