PURPOSE:To maintain data and to attain a high processing speed by providing HDDs (hard disk units)in duplicate connecting to each slave processing unit in a high speed data retrieval machine. CONSTITUTION:Plural slave processing units are connected to a master processing unit and HDDs are connected in duplicate to each slave processing unit. The HDD0, HDD1 are driven synchronizingly with a rotation difference of a half based on a synchronizing signal. An HDD controller writes same data to the HDD0, HDD1. On the other hand, when the controller reads data from them, the controller reads data from either HDD from which the data are read earlier. The reliability of data are improved by providing the HDDs in duplicate like a mirror. Moreover, the rotation wait time for data access is halved by deviating the rotation of the HDDs. |
