PURPOSE:To make a system compact and enhance efficiency of temperature rising to consumed power. CONSTITUTION:An ECU (electronic control unit) 150 opens an exhaust control valve 127 of a nitrogen gas supply/exhaust device 120 on starting of a fuel cell main body 5. When the exhaust control valve 127 is opened, pressure within an air cylinder 104 is reduced to reduce the pressing force applied to the fuel cell main body 5 in the stacking direction. When the pressing force is reduced, contact resistance between members constituting the fuel cell main body 5, such as an electrolyte film 10, and electrodes 20, 30, and the internal loss of the fuel cell main body 5 is increased and calorific power on the inside is also increased. The temperature of the fuel cell main body 5 can be increased without use of a heating means such as an outside power source and a heater. |
