<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the crosstalk between jack terminals. CONSTITUTION: A modular jack type connector is provided with an insulating housing 12, and has a plug receiving cavity 22 opened in one end 18 of the housing 12. Plural terminals 34a, 34b are fitted to the housing, and a spring beam contact part 40 is extended from a base part 42, which is curved in the cantilever condition inside of the plug receiving cavity 42. Tail parts 44a, 44b are projected from the housing in two lines parallel with the contact part, and each pair of adjacent terminals include the tail part in each line. The terminal includes intermediate parts 46a, 46b straightly extended between the curved base part and the tail part, and intermediate parts of each pair of adjacent terminals are separated in the direction for crossing the line, and includes parts 48a, 48b bent inward in the lateral direction for connecting the intermediate part and the tail part, and these bent parts are overlapped with each other in a flat surface parallel with the line.</p> |
