<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for enlarging a digital image in which the consistency of a level in an enlarged image can be largely improved, and the details of an original image can be almost held. CONSTITUTION: After an original digital image is copied (502), enlarged (504), and reduced (506), a difference between the reduced image and the original digital image is calculated (508) in all pixels, the copied image is corrected based on that (512), and when the average of the absolute values of the differences calculated in the calculation step 508 is beyond a preliminarily selected value, this process is repeated from the step 504 for enlarging the copied image (514). When the calculated difference is less than the preliminarily selected value, this feedback process is stopped (516), and the enlarged copied image is turned into the final result of the enlargement.</p> |
