PURPOSE:To provide a sample processor in which high measurement accuracy can be ensured even for a small quantity of liquid sample without requiring prolongation of measuring time or any special pretreatment. CONSTITUTION:The sample processor D1 comprises a sample sucking section 2, a sample concentration detecting section 4, and a sample concentrating section 28. The sample concentration detecting section 4 detects variation in the quantity of light emitted from a light source 8 through a light receiving element 10 and measures the amount of light being absorbed or scattered by particle components in the sample. An output signal from the light receiving element 10 is processed by a sample concentration controller 20 and an approximate particle concentration of the sample is determined. The sample concentrating section 28 comprises a syringe 16, and a filter unit 14 for concentrating the sample being transferred from a chamber 6 to the syringe 18. |
