PURPOSE:To surely eliminate oil attached to an image forming part even when it is not discriminated whether an image is formed on the first surface or the second surface of a manually fed recording paper by preferentially executing a second image forming sequence accompanying the oil the eliminating action of the image forming part based on the detected result of a manual paper feeding state. CONSTITUTION:In the case of an automatic double-sided image forming action, a transfer drum 9 is separated from a photoreceptor drum 3 and rotated once in a state where a recording material is not carried after the transfer action of a fourth color is finished and the recording material is separated from the drum 5 in the sequence of the second surface. In the midst of this rotation, an oil elimination roller 21 abuts on a transfer sheet and the oil attached on the transfer sheet is cleaned. In the sequence of the first surface, the roller 21 is not actuated. On the other hand, when the recording medium is supplied from a manual supply tray 20d, it is not judged whether it is the recording medium on which the oil is attached or not. However, the transfer sheet is cleaned by certainly executing the sequence of the second surface. |
