PURPOSE:To make it possible to optionally change the topology of an object shape and to optionally use a deformation operation of an object in the modeling of a three-dimensional(3D) shape. CONSTITUTION:In a method for defining the set of points (x, y, z) expressed by the density distribution F(x, y, z)=a of 3D space x-y-z, density distribution c(x, y, z) generated by a designer and density distribution Fq(x, y, z) (q=1 to n) alreadly existing in the space are combined like an equation Gq(x, y, z)=PSI(Fq(x, y, z), c(x, y, z)) by using a smooth function PSI(xsi, zeta, x, y, z). Sampling data LAMBDAq up to the m-th order partial derivative of the densitity distribution Gq(x, y, z) are found out on the finite number of points in the 3D space. Then, smooth function Fq(x, y, z) for interpolating the sampling data LAMBDAq is generated to update the density distribution Fq(x, y, z). Density distribution F(x, y, z) expressing the object is expressed by the mean value of (n) pieces of smooth functions Fq(x, y, z) (q=1 to n). |
