PURPOSE:To provide a means for lessening the unequal luminance at voltage input ends and center. CONSTITUTION:An active matrix (TFT) substrate 1 which is formed with plural drain bus lines for supplying signal voltage and plural gate bus lines for supplying scanning voltage so as to intersect these lines with each other, has plural so as to elements near the intersected points thereof, and has plural electrodes a counter substrate 5 which has a counter electrode 6 and a liquid crystal oriented film on a glass substrate and the constitution in which at least one of the voltage input ends 41 to 44 formed on this counter substrate 5 are formed on the lines dividing or equally dividing the sides of the counter substrate are adopted. The voltage input ends 41 to 44 are formable on the lines dividing or equally dividing only the sides of the counter substrate parallel with the gate bus liens or the drain bus lines. Combining of both is thus possible. An improvement in the potential distribution is made possible as well by forming a low-resistance conductive material in at least part of the sides of the counter substrate.
