PURPOSE:To provide a video printer capable of expressing different states at arbitrary time on the same picture with colors by using a monochrome video signal when the monochrome video signal as a material exists and to provide a method for printing a color picture from the monochrome video signal. CONSTITUTION:A trigger signal generation means 34 for generating a first trigger signal and a second trigger signal whose timing is different from that of the first trigger signal, first storage means 20 and 22 for storing the inputted video signal in accordance with the first trigger signal, a second storage means 18 for storing the inputted video signal in accordance with the second trigger signal and a printing means for printing the picture of a first color (red) based on the video signal stored in the first storage means 20 and 22 and printing the picture of a second color (cyanogen) different from the first color based on the video signal stored in the second storage means 18 are provided. |
