The device comprises a brake(10) which can stop a car, a stop light(22) which is operated simultaneously with the brake, a car speed detecting unit(12) which detects the speed of car, a safe distance data registering unit(14) which stores safe distance for following car, a distance detecting unit which receives infrared rays reflected from following car, a controlling unit(18) which outputs warning generating signals to obtain safe distance with following car, and a stop light operating unit(20) which operates stop light by the warning generating signals.
