Steering column support comprising a solid holder or box (1) arranged to be stationary mounted in a vehicle a steering column slide (2) which is longitudinally displacable (slidable) and/or rotatable (tiltable) in relation to the stationary box (1), and means (4) for providing a locking and releasing respectively of the steering column slide (2) in relation to the stationary box (1) under cooperation of locking lamella packs (3), and in which the steering column slide (2) is box shaped (10, 11) and is formed so solid and rigid that there can not appear any substantial resilient movement or deformation thereof during locking and releasing, respectively of the steering column, and in which the steering column slide (2) is slightly narrower than the distance between the sides (7) of the stationary box (1), against the slide is to be pressed, and is arranged to be pressed, with one side thereof, buttly against the stationary box (7), whereas the opposite side (10) thereof exposes a slight gap against the box (7) and is locked at said side by means a "window lamella" (29) which is displacable in the transversal direction in the steering column slide. <IMAGE> |
