A tractor (1), working between rows (2) of e.g. vines, is connected, through an articulation (14) close to its longitudinal axis (9), to a central structure (13), including telescopic resilient elements (19), fixed to the portal cross-member (7), which is telescopically adjustable (18) to suit row spacing. The wheeled (11) frame legs (8,8a), incorporate length adjusters (16), optionally, automatically operated from a level sensing controller.Weight distribution between these and the tractor is determined by the central telescopic elements (19). The plane of the frame, passing near to the tractor's centre of rotation, is inclined forwards or rearwards. The load, or powered attachment, e.g., trimming shears, may be fixed to the frame to improve overall stability.
