PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for manual adjustment of focus and zooming range of a document original setting position and a camera and to obtain a document original pickup video image with a proper resolution proper to a size of a set document original. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is provided with a camera direction changeover means (1), an original guide 202, an original size detection means (2), an image processing means 10, and a system control section 13 to set automatically a document original to a prescribed position of a document original platen 203, and the set size and direction of the document original are detected automatically and the document original set to a prescribed position on the document original platen 203 is picked up by a picture and writing camera 7 by controlling the operation of various cameras depending on the original size and direction and the document original video images to be picked up are automatically synthesized depending on the size and direction of the document original to obtain the entire video image of the document original with high resolution by using an inexpensive conventional NTSC/PAL use camera. |
