PURPOSE:To compactly constitute the camera for photographing three- dimensional image. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with an image pickup part for forming an optical image, which is projected from one viewpoint and two-dimensional as position information, through a pair of lenses 3 onto an image sensor 4 and outputting a signal outputted from the image sensor 4 as an image signal 5 and an image processor 6 composed of an input image holding means for fetching and holding the image signal 5 outputted from the image pickup part, image processing means for restoring three-dimensional position information concerning the respective picture elements of an input image based on the picture element value of a certain picture element and the picture element values of picture elements around that picture element, and two-dimensional position image generating means for generating the two-dimensional image as the position information corresponding to several viewpoints different from one viewpoint based on the three-dimensional position information restored by the image processing means, and stereoscopic display is enabled only by using a piece of photographed two-dimensional image. |
